His half sister Northwind Debuntante was second in the three year filly class at Devon in 2006 and subsequently sold to purchasers in United States.
In 2011 we showed Bobbi at several sport pony shows and he placed well on the line. Due to time constraints with the brewery, I decided to turn out several ponies so Bobbi didn’t get shown after the spring.
In 2012, Bobbi quickly qualified at the Beaverwood’s PBO show for the 3 year old and older gelding sport pony division at the Royal.
In 2013 Bobbi again qualified at Aberfoyle Fair for the RWF Sport pony gelding class.
Bennington (born June 2005) is a wonderful bay colt by Bennos Hit out of our pony mare, Dancing Till Dawn. He has matured to be FEI Pony height and is registered with the NASPR. We presented him at the September NASPR Inspection and he received an outstanding score of 7.9. Bennington was the top scoring ASPR Futurity Foal in Canada for 2005. He also was tied for second top score for NASPR foals in USA.
Bennington has great movement and conformation but he also has the best temperament. He is exactly what we hoped for when we started to breed sport ponies.
Update: In 2009 Bennington was very successful in Training level dressage in South Western Ontario. He qualified for the Silver Championships where he placed fourth overall. Also based on his results in 2009, he was selected to participate in the Stephen Clarke clinic. Great results for a 4 year old pony showing against horses.
In 2010, Bennington continued to improve. He ended the season with numerous first places and scores in the high 60s and low 70’s. At three dressage shows Bennington was the high point champion. He stood second for the Cadora Ontario standings, was the Ontario Silver Champion at Training level and was the Amateur high point score at the Championships too. Great results for a 5 year old pony with an adult amateur rider showing against some wondeful dressage horses!
In 2011 Benny wasn’t shown due to lack of time by his owner. However he was worked over fences and kept in shape.
In 2012, Benny started showing Level 1 and has quickly got his qualifying scores for the Championships. He has been winning with scores from 68 to 70%. He was 2012 Reserve Champion for the LDA show circuit. We did not attend the Chamionships in 2012 due to scheduling conflicts with the driving ponies.
In 2013 Bennington showed Level 1 and was never lower than second with scores from 68 – 70%. He was sixth in the Ontario Cadora year end standings and third for the year end LDA standings.
It is a difficult decison to sell him but as a senior amateur rider my show career is coming to an end. He is truly one of a kind and the easiest dressage pony/ horse to ride that I have owned. Where ever I take him, the judges always ask me about his breeding and comment on his lovely elegant appearance. $25000
Hawksview Firecracker Jack A 10322
Leased to Whitney Eick, New Jersey 2014-2016
Hawksview Firecracker Jack is a 12 H section A gelding. Jack is by our stallion Alderdale Nighthawk out of Talwern Starshine by Meadowlawn Night Owl. We drive Jack in our pair along with Boogie Black Boy. In the photos of the pair of ponies, Jack is the pony on the right with the white face.
In 2012 we also showed Jack at the local fall fairs and the Royal Winter Fair where he placed well in his driving classes. Jack has turned out to be a great little pony, easy to drive, well behaved at shows and is introducing friends to the fun of driving.
In 2013 Jack showed at several shows including winning several classes at the Ontario Pony Breeders show and third at the RWF in Gentleman to Drive
We took Mina to her first Sport Pony show in 2012 and she was second in a very large 3 year old and older mare class at the PBO show held at Beaverwoods Farm. She and her half sister also won the Produce of Dam class at the same show. In 2013 Mina was started under saddle and also shown on the line with great placings.
Cllynncopa Mercedes B10149
Mercedes has been leased to Diane Sales at Tondi Farm for 2013 -2015
South Gates Chickadee
We showed Chickadee in 2011 in the part welsh and sport pony shows and she always came home with great ribbons. She was fun at the shows – behaved like a mature pony and loved the attention! She quickly became a favourite with Kerrie Norcott and Rob Donaldson.
In 2012 we showed Chickadee at several sport pony shows in the Under Two Filly/ Colt classes and she always placed well. A real treat to handle at a show as she is so well behaved.
South Gates Mourning Dove
South Gates Samuel
2012: Sammy is now broke to ride and has been loaned to Tondi Farm for their summer camp. A real favourite with the children and Diane Sales at Tondi.
Sammy has been leased. October 2012 to 2015
Bulteal’s Nutmeg A9613
Bulteal’s Nutmeg is a Section A Welsh Pony mare 11.3 H born May 2001. Nutmeg is by Buteal’s Kizzam out of Kenview’s Golden Peregrine by Ardmore Eclispe. Meg would be a great pony for an advanced driver. This pony loves cones, fantastic on cross country, no spook and an awesome mover. Sadly Meg doesn’t fit in with our small blacks for pair or tandem. She has placed well at Walnut Hill Driving Show, East Aurora Pleasure Show and the Royal Winter Fair. She would also make a great broodmare.
